At the beginning of the course we studied the 12 principles of animation which opened my eyes. I studied it in every animation i have watched since and analyzed it in my head to see if i could spot any of the principles. It has definitely helped in terms of identifying animation and to understand it better and how the animators tried to make it feel personal. Personally, I enjoyed animation and the tasks we were provided, however I was a little disappointed at how short it lasted and wish I could learn more (this doesn't mean im not excited for 3D though)
The biggest pro I think is how much animation I learnt, it was a real eye opener to how simple it was and the shortcuts (12poa) I could use in order to make my animations even more effective - i.e. adding squash before a object goes up or falls down.
Personally, I'd like to continue animation in my private time so when we return to it, I would of improved from before. I'm going to continue uploading my animations to this website in order to seek improvement and slowly grow my animation portfolio. I also want to learn how to use the correct program. I enjoyed the course and learning with such amazing support and while before I mainly came onto the course for illustration, I enjoyed animation a lot and seeing how it works. I think ill think of pursuing it further with my Illustration pathway.
