Me, Nathan and Aleks decided to lead our specialist project together. The first thing that we did was scheduele a zoom call with Nathan as he wasnt here, Aleks produced some notes based on our discussion: The notes states the ideas that we could push forward with towards our specialist project. However, we eventually decided on a old games pitch idea that I dropped due to underdevelopment in the past.
As we already had a small starting point, we gathered for discussions and note taking. During the discussion, I was researching potential movies/series/games we could branch out from and develope ideas, as I took it upon myself to do the research which inspires our making: - Spiderman: into the spiderverse
- Arcane
- Love death robots: Pop squad
spiderverse: The building,structure and the idea of colliding universes. I took this movie as an inspiration in my previous research which can be seen here:
Arcane: General setting. The layout of the underground and the city. Also the idea of rich vs poor and the conflict of a broken society.
LDR pop squad: Similar idea to Arcane, but not shown as much. The upper society controlling the lower societys reproductivity because due to the wealth, rich people live forever and in better conditions. The structure of the lower city being cramped,dark and poor living conditions while the rich is spacious, fresh and clean.
As you can see, there is a correlating theme which refers to the colours used, structure and something very real: a broken society.
