Arcane

I watched Arcane which deals with similar troubles, has a similar aesthetic and atmosphere.

Piranesi was suggested to me from the feedback I recieved from my tutor. The idea of stacked up buildings and a repetitive pattern in the architecture gave us a starting point on what the world look after the collide.

Tano bonfanti specialises in 'mechanical' art. His drawings are very cyborg-like and you can tell is heavily inspired by similar things that I am looking at. Since we knew our universe was going to involve some sort of futuristic aspect, things like humans and species would be altered heavily. Tano was a great artist to refer to when it came to ideas.

Machu picchu structure was also suggested to me by my tutor in my feedback. Seeing the town on the mountain was my first inspiration to creating Avalon:

The idea came from Warhammer 40k hive city - which was suggested by my partner - The idea that the cities built from bottom towards the top , those who could not afford it stayed at the slums while those with power climbed to the top.

Boulee was another artist I was recommended to look at. I really liked his grand scaled images, and gave me an idea to 'over-do' Avalon. I liked the possible symbolism I could involve in making Avalon a tall, huge city in relation to its greedy nature.
