RELIGION
I have been researching the most popular religions worldwide, and have been researching what their ‘judgement day’ is like and their beliefs. Since the religious terms are more loose and everyone has their own beliefs, the religions in Avalon may not be familiar to the current day and time. I want Avalon to be a cultural place, but not to offend any current-time viewers of my project. I just want Avalon to be the one place where all religions are not fighting wars, and are interpreted in any ways possible.
Religion since the colission has been the most accepted cultural movement and has been introduced in many forms to many creatures. Religions that grew very important in the 'past life' such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and many others are still very much intact in Avalon, but many of those religions slightly changed or strengthened overtime.
Due to the collission happening, many religions believe the day of the colission was the final judgement day for the past life but many religions have their own interpritation for what that day was.( As this event happened 1000 years ago..there is no clear recollection. But nobody could exactly recall anything due to the phenomenom of the event)
Hinduism believe there is no such thing as 'judgement day'. Hinduism being based on the idea of 'rebirth' (punar-janma). So the colission day and forwards, this culture believes that the day of the colide was simply a rebirth for the Hindus
Christianity believes that God judges each soul, and sends them either to Hell or Heaven. Many people believe that the colission was their judgement day, and Avalonians believe that Avalon is their sanctuary and their Heaven. The people that live there believe that those who didnt make it to this new life, have been simply cast to Hell, and only those living there have been choosen for this blisful, rich life.

There are many other religious beliefs in Avalon, but these are some of the few popular ones that are proudly celebrated in the city and all over Rohana , and even Hewza hÜr

Many Muslims believe they have a free will to make their own choices - but they will also be judged by those choices. Some Muslims believe that their live in Avalon is the life that god has granted them , and that Avalon is a form of a second chance, or even heaven itself.

CULTURE
The celebrity culture is what keeps Avalon so busy and famous. Anyone with any remote fame; Models, Actors, Social media influencers, singers - and many more. Creatures and humans with these titles are known to be almost ‘outerwordly’ and ‘untouchable’ to anyone, as they are what keeps the buzz of Avalon alive.
Recently, I have been online a lot - surfing the web. With everything that is happening in the world; The palestine and Isreal war, the Ukrainian war - all of these real world issues are coated and stepped over by the problems of celebrities and minor issues. Those minor issues are turned into something of importance because of the people behind them: For example, Will smith slapping Chris rock. That took the internet by the storm, and people would not stop talking about it despite the wars and people dying that were happening ( and still are) at the same time. The war in Ukraine has been pitched out because people care more about the Johnny depp and Amber herd case.
I want Avalon to show that exact ignorance, where people prioritise the insignificant lives of fame and fortune, over those really struggling that truly need their help. I think making Avalon be so close-knit to how the current world is, will really show that this imaginary world is no different to what is happening at the time, and how wrong online culture is.
RICHES & NATURAL RESOURCES
Avalonian’s have a very rich source of nature and foliage. Because of the book placement, they receive first hand any natural resources for buildings big and grand architecture, and the flourishing plants provide them great health and vegetation, letting them move on much faster than the other cities in terms of sustainability and progressing with technology and architecture. Due to the collide, there are still many technological infrastructures that they weren’t able to replicate and build, but due to the wealth of the city - they aren’t far behind.
