Creating covers for the graphic novel

Since my original idea was to create a physical copy of the graphic novel, I decided to create some covers which bring a certain aesthetic and mood when looking at it. I was inspired by my atla comic cover research and tried going for a familiar vibe: here is what I came up with.







There are some development sketches and text holders. I also decided to go a little ‘stupid’ and ‘humorous’ with some of the covers considering my comic was originally to do with humour and embarrassing moments in life that others could relate to.




I found these quite fun to make and I really like how realistic the face looks with poor shading. Although I haven't really settled on these ideas just yet. I wanted to try and sketch more covers that would be much more simpler and tie in with the general theme of the comic.
